Glutathione (GSH) is the body's primary intracellular antioxidant — a tripeptide of glycine, cysteine, and glutamate found in every cell. It's the substrate your liver uses in Phase II detoxification, the workhorse that quenches reactive oxygen species, and the molecule that regenerates vitamins C and E back to their active forms.
Levels decline with age, alcohol, stress, poor sleep, and environmental toxin load.
